The Nest of Color Revolutions Is Dismantled: Why Trump and Musk Are Targeting USAID

0 2
Today, let’s talk about the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), which has been in the spotlight recently. Its top official has been replaced by Secretary of State Rubio as acting administrator, senior managers have been ordered to take leave, and its headquarters have been closed.
Musk’s Government Efficiency Department is set to audit its accounts, with the next step being to cut its funding. President Trump even said that this department has no reason to exist at all.
Many people may not be familiar with USAID. They may wonder why the investigation of a government agency has caused such a stir both internationally and domestically in the United States.
This is a very interesting topic. Today, let’s discuss what it means for the United States and the world situation if Trump and Musk succeed in dismantling USAID. First, let’s acknowledge some of the good things it has done, instead of immediately condemning it.
USAID, established in 1961, is the primary agency for U.S. foreign assistance. It would be unfair to say it has never done anything good, just like how even a villain sometimes does good deeds.
For example, USAID has contributed to the fight against AIDS in Africa, which is undoubtedly a good deed and has saved many lives. It has also provided humanitarian assistance to refugees in regional conflicts, which is a fact.
It’s also amusing to note that USAID has played a role in creating some of these refugees, but we’ll get to that later. Let’s first acknowledge that it has indeed assisted refugees, including those affected by natural disasters like the Haiti earthquake.
USAID has also done some beneficial work in endangered species protection and green development.
These are facts that cannot be denied, and there’s no need to pretend otherwise.
Now, let’s talk about the other side of USAID, which is perhaps more widely known. As the saying goes, “Good news travels fast, bad news travels faster.”
For example, during Ukraine’s color revolution in 2014, which overthrew the democratically elected President Yanukovych and led Ukraine to align with the West, USAID played a significant role.
There are many non-governmental organizations and civic groups active in Ukraine, such as the Ukrainian Democratic Initiative Foundation, whose activities are funded by USAID.
These organizations played a crucial role in organizing, promoting, and guiding the protests during the coup.
Moreover, USAID directly provided financial, material, and technical support to the participants during the coup to ensure the protests and subsequent coup activities could continue.
This playbook was later replicated in Hong Kong, albeit unsuccessfully.
Regarding the refugees we mentioned in the Middle East, they are a result of the Arab Spring color revolutions. USAID was also a key planner and participant in those events. Shouldn’t it be responsible for addressing the refugee crisis it helped create?
USAID can be considered the epicenter of color revolutions worldwide. Without it, global color revolutions would be at least halved.
So, why do Trump and Musk view such an organization, which seemingly aligns with U.S. interests, as a thorn in their side and are determined to eliminate it? We need to delve into the reasons, which are both necessary and amusing.
The official website of the White House issued a denunciation, stating that waste and abuse are deeply ingrained in USAID. The White House’s attitude reflects the U.S. government’s stance, indicating an official effort to discredit USAID.
So, is USAID really wasteful and abusive? It goes without saying that the answer is yes.
As we discussed earlier, USAID has been involved in some dirty work. And dirty work is hard to account for.
We often hear about corruption in the U.S. military, with outrageous spending, like 600,000forninegoats.Butifwethinkaboutit,militarycorruptioncanstillbetraced.Apackofscrewcapscosting90,000 is ridiculously expensive, but at least there’s a pack of screw caps to account for.
That’s why Trump wanted to audit the accounts of U.S. forces in Afghanistan during his first term. As a businessman, he knew the accounts could be traced. He just didn’t expect the auditors he sent would be eliminated, twice in a row, making it impossible to continue the audit.
However, USAID’s accounts are theoretically untraceable.
For example, if USAID funds an anti-government NGO in another country and they use the money to bribe officials, how can you investigate that? You can’t say, “I gave a bribe to an official,” and expect the corrupt official to give you a receipt.
In other words, USAID’s spending is often like the CIA’s. When the CIA pays salaries and activity expenses to spies, it’s just a matter of the supervisor’s word, and you can’t investigate it.
How can I provide you with a list of spies?
Therefore, the White House’s denunciation seems ridiculous. The White House claims USAID has severe waste and abuse issues, but what evidence does it provide?
It mentions 1.5millionspentinSerbia,6 million to support Egypt’s tourism industry, 2millionforsexchangesurgeriesandLGBTmovementsinGuatemala,andeven70,000 to produce a musical in Ireland.

There’s no reason not to target it.
Some may ask why not start with bigger expenses like healthcare, social security, or military spending.
Those who think this way clearly don’t want Trump to survive tomorrow.
Can he afford to make such big moves at this stage? He needs to take it one step at a time.
USAID is not a small player, and eliminating it is already quite challenging. This will give Trump some experience and courage, laying the groundwork for targeting the Jewish elite next. He can’t start by courting death, as the U.S. is not short of deranged gunmen.
Second, we know that USAID is deeply stamped with the Democratic Party’s ideology, promoting the liberal left’s agenda. Trump and Musk, on the other hand, are on the right, specifically the far right.
Musk made two salutes during his speech, which should still be fresh in everyone’s mind. Furthermore, Musk has interacted with European far-right leaders, leading to accusations of interfering in European elections.
As a member of the far right, Musk has little regard for the liberal left and, due to personal grievances, holds a deep grudge against them.
If Trump wants to build a MAGA dynasty that lasts for thousands of years, he will have to engage in a major battle with the Democratic Party. Before this battle begins, he needs to rally the troops, and eliminating USAID is a logical first step.
It’s no surprise that USAID is the first to be targeted. If you were Musk, you would also start with it.
Of course, eliminating it doesn’t mean dissolving it. The president doesn’t have the authority to abolish a government department, nor is it necessary. A thorough purge will suffice, ensuring all key positions are filled by allies.
USAID still has a role to play but will now operate according to MAGA’s agenda.
Third, this is good news for the world.
As we mentioned earlier, without USAID, color revolutions in the world would be at least halved.
Those who are often accused of being paid agents or “1450s” on the internet will also become much less active, as they will have nowhere to get their funding.
Many may even stop posting.
